Dear all!

A general genetic catastrophe has been developing during the last 120 years, but mostly after 1950. Science-based technology has polluted the whole World with 1 000 000 mutagenic chemicals in addition to mutagenic radiation. Even gasoline vapor and diagnostic use of X-rays permanently damage our chromosomes and genes, and burning cigarettes produce smoke containing 800 mutagens. Chemical by-products of our scientific civilization, like Dioxines, PCBs, and PAHs, are destroying DNA even in the Arctic. We are creating Hell on Earth.

As yet Science has not discovered the Genetic Catastrophe. When will Science wake up? The History of Science tells us that it may take time. Science has perhaps never understood fundamentally NEW situations? What shall we do?

The book “Genetic Catastrophe! Sneaking Doomsday?” by Nils K. Oeijord discusses the HIGH and INCREASING prevalence and HIGH and INCREASING incidence of genetic damage/genetic disorders/genetic diseases all over the world, and LOGICALLY concludes that we have a genetic catastrophe (GC). The book also shows how the scientific community is misunderstanding or defining away the GC. So far we have NO ALTERNATIVE BOOK to read if we want to know and understand the genetic catastrophe.

The majority of mutagens you speak of seem to damage somatic cells. What possible 'genetic catastrophe' can occur from damage to somatic cells? Do you fear mass extinctions from cancer our something similarly outrageous?

Humans and other species have lived in relatively high mutagenic environments for substantial periods of time. For example an Indian society has lived on radioactive sands for a long time. These people show a high mutation load in mtDNA, though they seem to suffer little adverse effects. Certainly there is no catastrophe. [please refer to the work of geneticist Peter Forester].

The book, "Our Stolen Future", by Theo Colborn, Senior Scientist at the World Wildlife Fund, gives specific data about the mutagenic effects of chemicals on foetal development in rats and other animals. Some man-made chemicals, and their combinations, mimic the molecular structure of hormones that fire off development in the foetal growth process, resulting in unwanted developmental characteristics, like tiny penises and cranky temperaments in rats.

"We are creating Hell on Earth" Oh no, not another doomsdayer. How convenient that "they" stopped once they reached 1 000 000 mutagens. How, by the way did you quantify that?

This is ridiculoso.

The secret scientific Corporate wish is...that given enough repeated exposure to so many carcinomutagenic substances there just may be a rapid, fast forward-like morphogenesis...not unlike that of an epidermis's eventual adaptation to repeated exposure to sun. Indeed, I'm a living example: even the skin of a freckly Scotch/Irish/Danish/Celtic/Anglo-Saxon mutt...will eventually resemble weather-resistant leather. At this point, in earnest, I could probably scoop lava from a volcano, wearing shorts, with few serious noteworthy cosmetic impacts. Why? Because I've adapted. I've been raked over hot coals and barbequed so often [no, not just by women], been a doormat so long...that most local/regional Fire Fighters and Emergency Room folks recognize me immediately..."Hey, Scar," they say. "Nice to see you."

The deep unspoken heartfelt Corporate Hope is, perhaps--and not just with asbestos firms, but also amongst Dow, Monsanto, et al. types--that the human genome, resourceful as it
is and helped by certain gen. engineering--will ultimately adapt and become immune to such so called present day "harmful" substances. Indeed, the real tragedy of Bhopal India--amongst many in the Corporate science community--is simply that...evolutionarily speaking, such accident occurred a century or so prematurely, before the human genome had time to sufficiently adapt and mutate to the likes of benzine, vinyl chlorides, concentrated liquid nitrogen fertilizers, polyurethanes, petroleum-based insecticides, etc.

The bottom-line is: Plastics, dioxins, chloramines, paints, coatings, insulative fibers--all make for a better healthier life. Inorganic is not the problem. The real culprit is that cytologically, within the nucleus the genes on the chromosomes are simply too fragile, evolutionarily speaking, right now. The folks at Dow, Monsanto, et al. are working hard to toughen and firm up those sissy genes. Genes, like Marines, learn from repetition and practice. Expose 'em enough, and eventually they'll adapt. Pretty soon, childhood leukemia will be a thing of the past...given ample exposure. The CDC's named 200+ carcinogens are not the problem. Rather, pussy genes that never adapt or learn to fight and resist molecular terror assault--this is the real problem. If people were composed of rock, they'd be fire resistant. That's the ultimate goal. Rock-solid to survive a steel factory blast furnace and a cool nitrogen spray at the end.:-)
